LaSaundra Gibson
LaSaundra Gibson is a gifted communicator and encourager, sharing her talents through acting, singing, writing, and public speaking. As an actor, she has performed roles in several hit TV shows and blockbuster films.
A Texas native, LaSaundra got her professional start in front of the camera as a general assignment TV reporter in Tyler, Texas (she received her Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin). While reporting in Tyler, she covered the Space Shuttle Columbia explosion tragedy that directly impacted East Texas. LaSaundra spent most of her broadcast career at WBIR-TV in Knoxville, Tennessee. She started there as a feature reporter on the feature/entertainment show Live at Five at Four. Viewers quickly became fans of her fun-filled on-air adventures, such as paintballing and getting behind the fence at the zoo with an elephant! LaSaundra progressed to become the fill-in host for that show and solo anchor for the 10 News at Noon show. She became a community favorite for her captivating storytelling in feature stories and live reports. Upon moving to Southern California, LaSaundra said goodbye to her journalism days and began working as an actor. LaSaundra is not only a natural in front of the camera, but she also enjoys performing live on stage. LaSaundra has performed at Hollywood's landmark Dolby Theatre, belting out a powerful, solo rendition of the Christian hymn How Great Thou Art. She also performed to a packed house at the 1,600-seat Tennessee Theatre and played the role of Tituba in The University of Tennessee Opera's production of Robert Ward's The Crucible!
